TA _ PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 1 SOE
Abstrak
Rendahnya motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang menarik dan guru kurang kreatif dalam menyampaikan materi dalam proses pembelajaran. proses pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru (teacher center) dan guru masih menggunakan model pembelajaran ceramah yang disertai dengan siswa menghafal dan mencatat apa yang dikatakan oleh guru. Dalam proses pembelajaran khususnya pada materi sistem pencernaan,
terlihat kurang menarik dan minat siswa dalam belajar masih rendah, sehingga berdampak pada motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa yang kurang dari kriteria ketuntasan minimum (KKM) yang ditetapkan di sekolah yaitu 73. Motivasi dan hasil belajar adalah kemampuan yang dimiliki siswa setelah menerima pengalaman belajarnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaranproblem based learning. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif, dengan desain one
group Pre-test Post-tes, pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling, yaitu pengambilan sampel dengan tujuan tertentu. Analisis data menggunakan angket untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar siswa dengan menggunakan skala lickert dan menggunakan uji N-gain untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis motivasi belajar sebelum penerapan model PBL terdapat 56% pada aspek tekun belajar dan sesudah penerapan model PBL terdapat 88% pada aspek tekun dalam belajar dan uji N-gain didapat hasil analisis sebesar 0,59 dimana hasil belajar siswa rata-rata saat pre-test 50% dan hasil post-test di peroleh 84%, dari nilai rata-rata ini mengalami peningkatan sebesar 34%. Dari hasil
penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model problem based learning dalam proses pembelajaran biologi khususnya materi sistem pencernaan pada manusia dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII di SMP NEGERI 1 SOE.

Low motivation and student learning outcomes are influenced by the use of learning models that are less attractive and teachers are less creative in delivering material in the learning process. The learning process is still centered on the teacher (teacher center) and teachers still use the lecture learning model accompanied by students memorizing and recording what the teacher says. In the learning process, especially in the digestive system material, it looks less interesting and students'
interest in learning is still low, which has an impact on student motivation and learning outcomes. Student motivation and learning outcomes are less than the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) set at the school, namely 73. Motivation and learning outcomes are the abilities that students have after receiving their learning experience. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in motivation and student learning outcomes by applying the problem based learning model. This type of research uses quantitative research, with a one group Pre-test Post-test design, sampling using
purposive sampling, namely taking samples with a specific purpose. Data analysis used a questionnaire to determine student learning motivation using a Lickert scale and using the N-gain test to determine student learning outcomes. Based on the results of the analysis of learning motivation before implementing the PBL model, there was 56% in the diligent aspect of studying and after implementing the PBL model there was 88% in the diligent aspect of studying and the N-gain test obtained an analysis result of 0.59 where the average student learning outcomes at pre -test 50% and
the results of the post-test were obtained 84%, from this average value there was an increase of 34%. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that the use of the problem based learning model in the biology learning process, especially material on the human digestive system, can increase the motivation and learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP NEGERI 1 SOE. 2
