TA_PENERAPAN METODE JARIMATIKA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERHITUNG PERKALIAN PESERTA DIDIK KELAS IV SD NEGERI SAKTEO

Abstrak
Kemampuan berhitung perkalian peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri Sakteo tergolong
rendah. Hal ini dikarenakan, pada proses pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru (teacher
centered), peserta didik yang malas untuk berhitung dan juga belum ada penerapan metode
yang menyenangkan yang membuat peserta didik aktif dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan
penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berhitung perkalian peserta
didik dengan menerapkan metode jarimatika. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh
peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri Sakteo yang berjumlah 21 orang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah
penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Desain
analisis data yang dilakukan dengan validitas soal, reliabilitas soal, tingkat kesukaran soal,
daya pembeda soal, uji normalitas Shapiro wilk dan skor N-Gain. Hasil uji normalitas
menunjukan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dengan nilai signifikan > 0,05 dan skor N-Gain
yang diperoleh yaitu 0,72 termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan
bahwa penerapan metode jarimatika dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung perkalian
peserta didik.

Abstract
The ability to calculate multiplication of grade IV students of SD Negeri
Sakteo is relatively low. This is because, in the teacher-centered learning process,
students are lazy to calculate and there is also no application of fun methods that
make students active in learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the
improvement of students' multiplication calculation ability by applying the jarimatic
method. The sample in this study is all grade IV students of SD Negeri Sakteo which
totals 21 people. This type of research is a quantitative research with a one-group
pretest-posttest design. The design of the data analysis was carried out with the
validity of the questions, the reliability of the questions, the difficulty level of the
questions, the differentiating power of the questions, the Shapiro normality test and
the N-Gain score. The results of the normality test showed that the data was normally
distributed with a significant value of > 0.05 and the N-Gain score obtained of 0.72
was in the high category. So it can be concluded that the application of the
jarimatika method can improve students' multiplication calculation skills.
