TA _ KEMAMPUAN LITERASI MATEMATIKA SISWA PADA MODEL LEARNING CYCLE 5E BERPENDEKATAN OPEN ENDED

Abstract
This research aims to pruduce a students’ mathematical literacy skills in the 5E learning cycle model have an open ended approach. The research method used is quantitative a quasi-experimental designed with nonequivalent control group design involving two research classes which were determined by simple random sampling technique. Population
in this research is all students in class X high school Karya Soe wich consists of four classes, while the sample of this research is two classes, namely in class X MIPA2 as the experimental class and X MIPA1 as the control class and selected by simple random sampling technique. The instrument used was a test of students' mathematical literacy abilities in the form of pre-test and post-test in the form of a description questions. The data analysis technique in this study used an independent sample t test and a normalized gain score. The results of the analysis showed that the mathematical literacy abilities of students in the class who received 5E learning cycle model have an open ended approach were better than those who did not receive the 5E learning cycle model have an open ended approach. The average gain score of normalization of students’ mathematical literacy abilities in the 5E learning cycle model has an open ended approach amounting to 0.41 in the medium category, while for students mathematical literacy skill in class do not use 5E learning cycle models have an open ended approach obtained 0.11 in the low category.

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan kajian mengenai kemampuan literasi matematika siswa pada model learning cycle 5E berpendekatan open ended. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan model quasi eksperimental yang didesain dalam bentuk non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah
seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Karya Soe yang terdiri dari empat kelas sedangkan sampel penelitian adalah dua kelas yaitu pada kelas X MIPA2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X MIPA1 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling.Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes kemampuan literasi matematika siswa berupa pre-test dan post-test dengan jenis soal uraian. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t- sampel independen dan skor gain normalisasi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwakemampuan literasi matematika siswa pada kelas yang diajarkan dengan model learningcycle 5E berpendekatan open ended lebih baik dari kelas yang tidak diajarkan dengan model learning cycle 5E berpendekatan open ended. Rata-rata skor gain normalisasi kemampuan literasi matematika siswa pada model learning cycle 5E berpendekatan open ended sebesar 0,41 dengan kategori sedang, sedangkan untuk kemampuan literasi
matematika siswa pada kelas yang tidak menggunakan model learning cycle 5Eberpendekatan open ended diperoleh 0,11 dengan kategori rendah.
