Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine Teachers and Students Perspectives on the use of Online Learning Media during pandemic at SMP Negeri 2 SoE. This research was a descriptive study with a qualitative research. The method used was method of data collection. Data was collected through interview and questionnaire. There were 20 students from class VIII and 2 English teachers who participated in this study. In this study, researcher found that the use of online learning media, especially in online English lesson during pandemic gets a positive perspective because it was flexible and effective. Online learning at SMP Negeri 2 SoE was done using several application options, namely: WhatsApp and Google Classroom. Based on the data analysis from this research, it can be concluded that teachers and students have a positive perspective on online learning media during pandemic. This can seen from the percentage of data based on 6 indicators there are learning effectiveness with a percentage of 71%, learning tool evaluation with a percentage of 71%, students interest with a percentage of 67%, students learning motivation with a percentage of 66% and students confidence with a percentage of 72%. From the findings that have been discussed that students can adapt and adust to in process of online learning English and teacher also provides positive perspective on the use of online learning media.
