TA _ MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA DENGAN PENDEKATAN PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKAREALISTIK (PMR)

Abstract
The ability to understand a students mathematical concepts is the ability to absorb and understand mathematical ideas. The ability to understand good concepts can help students resolve or offer solutions to a problem. This study aims to determine the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts using the Realistic Mathematics Learning (PMR) approach. The research design used is quantitative research with a pre-experimental model designed in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII Christian Middle School 1 Mollo Selatan which consisted of 3 classes and the research sample was class VIII-A which was taken by simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques and instruments used were tests in the form of description questions consisting of pre-test and post-test questions. The data analysis technique in this study used a paired t-sample test with a prerequisite test, namely the normality test then followed by a gain score to find out how much the increase was. Based on the results of the analysis, it was obtained that tcount = 3.032 and ttable value = 2.079, a significant value of 0.05 which means that tcount> ttable value. So the conclusion is that there is an increase in the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts with the Realistic Mathematics Learning (PMR) approach. Increasing the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts is in the medium category with an average gain score of 0.46.

Abstrak
Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa adalah kemampuan menyerap dan memahami ide-ide matematika. Kemampuan pemahaman konsep yang baik dapat membantu siswa dalam menyelesaikan atau memberikan solusi terhadap suatu permasalahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan pendekatanPembelajaranMatematika Realistik (PMR).Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan model pre-experimental yang didesain dalam bentukone- group pretest-posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Kristen 1 Mollo Selatan yang terdiri dari 3 kelas dan sampel penelitian yaitu kelas VIII- A yang diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dan instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes berupa soal uraian yang terdiri dari soal pre-test dan post-test. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji t-sampel berpasangan dengan uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas kemudian dilanjutkan dengan skor gain untuk mengetahui seberapa besar peningkatan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh nilai thitung = 3,032 dan nilai ttabel = 2,079, nilai signifikan sebesar 0,05 yang berarti bahwa thitung> nilai ttabel. Jadi kesimpulannya bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan pendekatan Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik (PMR). Peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa berada pada kategori sedang dengan rata- rata skor gain 0,46.
