TA _ USING FLASH CARD TO IMPROVE VOCABULARY OF STUDENTS GRADE SEVENTH STUDENTS OF SMP KRISTEN 1 MOLLO SELATAN
Abstract
This study aims to determine the improvement of students’ vocabulary skills by using flash card that focus on pronunciation, spelling, and vocabulary in seventh grade at SMP Kristen 1 Mollo Selatan. Vocabulary is a collection of words that are owned by someone, moreover vocabulary is a collection of several words that are combined so that they have
meaning or meaning. So, researchers use flash cards to find out students’ problems in class. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) to find students’ problems in learning vocabulary. So, the researcher uses the test as the instrument. The researcher conducted two cycles including pre-test and post-test. The results of this study the authors get an increase in students between the average score of pre-test, post –test 1 to post-test 2. The average pre-test score is 36 aiming the average score of post-test 1 is 55 and post-test 2 is 91. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that flash cards are effective in improving the vocabulary skills of students in seventh grade at SMP Kristen 1 Mollo Selatan.
