TA_MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWAMELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD

Abstract
This study aims to improve students’ mathematical concept understanding ability though the STAD type cooperative learning model. The menthod used in this study is quatitative with a pre-experimental model, which is designed in the form of one group pretest- posttest. The population in this study were all students of SMP Kristen 2 Soe in the 2024- 2025 academic year as many as 2 classes. While the research class was 1 class, namely class IXB which was taken using the simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique used in this study was atest of students’ mathematical concept understenstanding ability. This test is in the form of pre-test and post-test questions in the form of descriptive question arranged based on indicators of students’ mathematical concept understanding ability. The data analysis technique to measure students’ mathematical concept understanding ability uses a paired sample t-test with a normality test as a prerequisite test and is continued with gain score normalization. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in students’ mathematical concept understanding ability though the STAD type cooperative learing model. The increase was in the moderate category with an average gain score of 0.37.

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan model pre-experimental, yang didesain dalam bentuk one group pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa
SMP Kristen 2 Soe tahun ajaran 2024/2025 sebanyak 2 kelas. Sedangkan kelas penelitian sebanyak 1 kelas yaitu kelas IXB yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Tes ini berupa soal pre-test dan post-test berbentuk soal soal uraian yang disusun berdasarkan indikator kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Teknik analisis data untuk mengukur kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa menggunakan uji t-sampel berpasangan dengan uji normalitas sebagai uji prasyarat dan dilanjutkan dengan skor gain normalisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Peningkatan berada pada kategori sedang dengan rata-rata skor gain 0,37.
